The found poem:
“Read a book and circle some words on a page. Use those words to craft a poem. Alternatively you can cut out words and phrases from magazines.”
I picked up a book about early Australian explorers and randomly pointed out ten words with my eyes closed, and here’s the poem I ended up with:
I took an expedition
into hell‘s bank of horrors
Feeling myself fatigued to my fate
I shed tears bitterly
in bedclothes made of fish
It’s amazingly terrible, but it was fun and got my creative juices flowing.
What can you come up with?
