This week, I’ve been obsessed with snacking, so I decided to ask the Gnomies what their poison is when they’re writing. And I’m totally hungry again.
THE CLOCKWORK GNOME:
Depending on my mood… Sometimes soft Australian licorice, sometimes chocolate covered almonds. It’s hard to find on the east coast, but when I can get it, I load up on twizlers chocolate licorice. And for those painful editing nights that never end, cock and bull ginger beer! Mmmmm good!
THE RUBY-EYED CYBORG:
Anything sweet–preferably fruit snacks. I think I love fruit snacks a little too much.
THE BIONIC BANSHEE:
Frosted Flakes. I love nothing better than to pull out my laptop and pour myself a heaping bowl of sugary goodness. The box says they’re made from whole grains, so they’re totally healthy, right?
THE PRINCESS PEEPS:
Well, I’m kind of obsessed with almonds; almonds covered in things, almonds buck naked, almonds roasted, almonds untouched by the grimy, impure hands of mortals. I’m just NUTS for almonds! …Not even ashamed of that one.
THE TEENAGE WITCH:
For munchies, anything crunchy. Or sweet. Anything munchable, really. And I’m a total crackhead for tea. Sugary, creamy crack-and-half (half and half) tea. Yum.
THE TIM LORD:
Candy. Chewy candy, fruity candy, nutty candy, chocolatey candy, squirmy candy, sour candy, crunchy candy, hard candy, soft candy, or fluffy candy. Some kind of candy usually. And chips.
THE QUEEN BEAN:
Beverages: dark, strong coffee with copious amounts of real cream and sugar. By the pot full. The darker the better.
Munchies: mini goldfish or mini triscuits (I discovered these two items last year and I’ve been hooked ever since!) If I’m finagling a particularly difficult piece of writing, then mini reese’s cups.
I just realized that I apparently like miniature food, bahahahaha.
What about you? What are your writing nibbles?
